Interested in St Osyth area for fogey bungalow, wondered if the yard at St Osyth is good for over wintering, also what sort of access from Brightlingsea?

We had work done on Sniper at the yard 18 years ago when we first bought her. Obviously things can change, but the yard is still in the same hands and we had a very good experience. It's very much a 'can do' place which does a lot of work on traditional craft (I'm sure you know this) - professional but not 'yachty' in the way that MDL marinas are.

Access from Brightlingsea is not too bad; the yard will give a very detailed sketch map of the creek which has plenty of water in it at high water and is well marked along its twists and turns.

As I say, my experience is quite old now but it may be helpful.
