If you cantact Hawkhouse they do a red version of that tape which I have used for the same purpose as you.
They stock a 6mm width roll, but if you call them they do a wider one as a special order..
As was said in post #13 they also do the closed cell foam single or double sided stickey. I have used this throught my boat and it was worked very well.
I use the tape for the wrap around edges of the ply boards used to line the deck head and also for various bit of trim...
