I've got a marineair reverse cycle air con on my Sealine t51. One of the control panels is showing a flashing eee on the display. I have left the manual at home.

Anyone know what it means?

It's like a 9 but the other way round so looks most like a lower case "e" . It comes on and looks ok for about 10 mins and then flashes that code and stops. The other zones work ok though.

Which unit is it?
I "kind of" remember a problem like this that went away.
It is a long time ago, but I think I reversed the unit's operation by winding the set point completely the other way.
So, if it was heating, I set it to cooling.
Left it for five mins and then set it back to what I wanted.
Can't be sure but something like this did happen before.
Could have been a sticky valve of just something in the electronics.
I can't even remember which unit it was - might have been the main saloon one.
I'm pretty sure that there was a hickup though and it all worked again afterwards.
Sorry I can't be any more help.

Mike

EDIT
Have you checked the sea water strainer
It is under the inner bunk in the starboard cabin - way down in the bottom of the boat.
Presumably the pump is working properly (separate switch on the main panel) or the other zones wouldn't work.
But check if you are getting a good flow of water out of the A/C outlets on the starboard side (forward quarter).
Maybe check that the faulty unit still fails when it is the only one being used.

Phil and Mike, thanks for your help.

Got up this morning and switched it on and it is working ok!

I'll keep an eye on and read the manual.

Had a similar error year ago, indicated no cooling water to pump, but found the central all units controller PCB had blown (difficult to find, hidden behind the dishwasher!) all fine now.
