Anyone know the make of this yacht?

Might be worth sending jenku a private message (pm). He's Swedish and could confirm if it's likely that any Swedish built boat would have had bilge keels?

No Maxi sorry. None built with twin-keels and also the lines are not right. I do think I know where you are coming from, as the windows do look a little Maxi-ish, but the sheer is totally wrong, the smaller maxis are much more box-like.

Ah and as for Triss Magnum, there's no bigger sister it's the biggest of the "trisses". And again, they aren't twin-keel. In fact, I am quite positive there are no yard built Swedish boats with twin-keels at all. Dunno what people may have done at home of course...

thanks all...i've looked through the cobra/seawolf pages and whilst similar still not it....i found something with a 'tornado 720' on it but not sure if its related to the design or not...ii've googled but nothing on it...anyways...the quest continues...thanks for all your help again!

Drat. I recognise it and cannot remember the name. I considered buying one once and did the same fruitless search for information. Even with the name (when i could remember it ) i was unable to find any info on the web.
I know where it went when it was sold. If its still there i will try to have a look at it and get some info.

No.
Seem to remember that the second part of the name was the name as a more popular model. eg Horizon (but not that)
The one I saw was All white with a Vire 7hP petrol engine.
Distintive feature is the domed coachroof which looks like it has been put on as an afterthought in order to give standing headroom.

The Dutch did that with the little pandora, so (conveniently forgetting the Contessa) if we mix the Dutch with the French that Jenku thinks it is, we get a Belgian built boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been told its a Magyar 25 but that was not the name that I remembered it being being advertised under.

Would that make it a Hungarian boat then? Don't think they have any tides...
I bet on the Belgian theory. Perhaps a Poirot 21? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Look at the hull, not the suberstructure, just the hull's lines. To me she looks rather Robert Tucker whilst the rest has a general Ridgeway Marine set of lines to it.

Boatman at West Kirby who was familialar with the boat said that it had a problem in that the keels are set well back so that it is front heavy. Tendency to tip forward when drying out. This isconfirmed by the block under the bow in the photo.
