Anyone know any woodturners that might like some yew wood?

The top 10 feet of my yew tree has died and I am having it pollarded. I have a friend who wants some for woodturning but most will get chipped. I haven't measured it but at a guess the trunk is 10" diameter and branches are 3 or 4".

I don't know how good the wood is until it is cut but anyone local (to Leigh-on-Sea) is welcome to come and see. What isn't claimed on the day (3rd Sept) will be put through the chipper.

PM me if of interest.

I always thought that yew posed a health hazard (and not only to French soldiers) but, according to this website, just about every wood I can think of does!
