It is a Al Ko pole mount hitch with a nose weight of upto 75kg and should be upto 1100 kg . Its used for towing a car behind a motorhome .

where do you get the 1100kg from? That's the bit of info (max towing weight) that I can't discern from all those numbers....

You wont get the max tow weight from those numbers , they are the type approval numbers and stock number . The weight is to the left on a plate , which it does not show but that is a towbar from motorhome to car and thats what they use on them . I work on trailers for a living .

Thanks me2. You are the person I've been looking for!
It appears to have been modified from a standard trailer fit? My question really is, can I fit it to the front of my boat trailer?

Looked again and no it wont fit its not auto reverse , that's what the black thing on the top is , a lock to stop the damper going back so the brakes on the car wont lock on in reverse

Can't see the Type Appro number. There should be a reg number and an e or E Mark.

And there is a e mark on the photo , it might not be that actual hitch in the photo but it is that type.

to save confusion with the CE mark, perhaps one should add that the E1 mark relates specifically to motor vehicles, and ensures that certain worldwide standards of e.g. size, wiring conformity, configuration, etc are harmonised.

If the mark is in a circle, with a capital E, it is a UN harmonisation rule; if the e is lower case and in a square or rectangle, the device or system made is according to an EU directive.

Here's a sample of the relevant literature:-

There, you may sleep more safely tonight in your (CE marked) cots for that public service announcement. ;)

thought these days the 'auto reverse' was achieved by drop-off brake shoes?

It is , but if the hitch is non ar then the trailer might run away if parked backwards on a hill as the shoes will move free and the handbrake won't pull the brakes on . Don't forget it's for pulling a car and a car does not have ar brakes .
If the front of the trailer is 60mm sq and the boat plus trailer are less than 1100kg then it will fit the trailer but won't work the handbrake as it should .
