Appologies for the double post, but this might be of interest in here too!

Does anyone keep their boat in Darthaven Marina, has other non boaty plans for the August Bank holiday, and fancies a few beer tokens?

We are once again planning on sailing in Dartmouth Regatta, which is the 25th to the 28th of August, but we're having real problems finding the extra accomodation we will need. All the holiday cottages only let Saturday to Saturday, which does not work for regatta sailors , and the B&Bs are either full, miles away, or both!

In the past we have brought another boat with us to act as mother ship, but this practice has been outlawed by the marina - I suspect because it was widely thought of as a stroke of genius and they were worried about having to accomodate 2 boats for every entry!

So I had an idea, is there is a forumite who has a boat in Darthaven who would be prepared to "charter" it to us for use purely as somewhere to sleep? All post race socialising would take place on the race boat or the beer tent, so all this boat would be used for would be sleeping and storing all the crew's clothes etc whilst we're afloat. It wouldn't be moved from its berth and would be left exactly as we found it.

Quite happy to pay a reasonable rate if there is someone who has can help.

Not very likely as most owners are down on their boats for regatta, why not anchor the mother ship in the river tThen dinghy or water taxi out to it?

Or have you tried the Resnova?

There's a smallish green yacht permanently, and I mean permanently at anchor just opposite Darthaven - if he(or she) can do it then why not you?
Not sure what the river rules are during regatta week but maybe worth considering.

Just bumping this to the top as other options have come to nothing. Is anyone able to help?
