There appears to be a very active solar storm at present and the above map indicates the possibility of an Aurora.

If the sky is clear can you see anything

We're not really far enough north but do get to see them if they're good (there's no artificial light near us). Although the skies have cleared up after the deluge there's nothing here 35 miles north of Glasgow right now.
