Hi
I often look on here, but never see any moterboat postings,as I have a moterboat at ipswich on the orwell,I no that there are a few of us around, just wondered if this was for sailing types only,

Hi
open to all comers.
we did have D3B ( Dougie 3 Bottles - Dont ask :D) he had a Sealine 29 that is now sadly sold but he still lurkio`s from time to time.
what is your boat.

we have a fairline squadron 52,and no it was not us comming from the crouch,(re old post) not had boat long, spent all summer getting her sorted, last boat was a sealine f43 with red covers not one to be missed

there are actually quite a few moboers, and they turn up for the forum do's but not in any where near the numbers I would like.

Welcome. Wilkommen.Bienvenue.

The Squadron 52 from memory is a very nice boat, viewed one under construction at Fairline a few years ago. The East coast forum does have other mobo people but as not many care to get involved in the anti mobo/raggy arguments nobody here really minds what boat you prefer. Pop along to any gathering and you'll meet some great people. The only way you can tell what sort of boat they have is that wind swept look a raggy has. My other boat is a Birchwood 25 Interceptor, when I finally get that done up

Don't recall anyone starting to organise a mid winter gathering yet, but if they do, it's a perfect chance to meet others whose interests are similar

Now I'll run and hide after the wind swept comment :D

Hiya

yes there are a few of us mobo's here.
we are in fambridge marina and have a pearl motor boat.
This is much nicer forum than the main forum, all nice people. must be the south coast thing where they all get wound up.
Viva East coast
Hear hear!

Welcome Dj43... no prejudices here...

We all try very hard to get along, have fun, and make lots of new friends. :D

Thank you all for a warm welcome,

Have never understood the mobbo/raggy thing,a friend of ours came to see our new to us boat, took them for a trip along the orwell and out to sea for the day, they were amazed how well we all got on sharing the same water, there boat is based on the south coast,
so that might account for it.

What river are you on,
It would be good to pop along to one of your gatherings, although not so keen on the room sharing bit,

Too much information :o

Steady tiger :eek::D
Lisa is talking about our bonfire night party in 2010 when we had just opened, a great night was had by all and after consumption of copious quantities of assorted beverages nobody was able to do much other than sleep wherever they could ;)

Lisa, the old place has changed loads since then as some here can testify, and others too sometime soon
If you want to organise something just go for it, as long as I know before, it would be good to see everyone again ;)

I doubt you'd fit on our river, were on the Gt.Ouse based at St.Neots where depth and headroom are both at a premium, getting in and out to sea is quite a balancing act with timing for us and were only little, aiming for the broads again next year as it's much easier base for sea trips, everything is a full days cruise for us, apparently theres dragons in the wash too but I've never seen one...(other than the one in the galley:rolleyes:)

Hi dj43,

I confess to being a mobo'er and a bit of a lurker on here!
I have a Sealine T50 based at Suffolk Yacht Harbour.
Happy to meet up and exchange info/stories/places to go etc if you want.

Regards

Richard

I also have a mobo at Suffolk Yacht Harbour but new to this forum. Off to France in the spring if the winter refit goes well :) Happy to meet and swap info on East Coast and North Sea cruising.
