I've googled this and found info around a mile per gallon at 20 knots, seems about right.

Boat is Phantom 38. I cant find figures for lower speeds eg, trundling along around 8 to 10 knots. Has anyone got info on figures please.

I have a Phantom 38 with 63Ps. It burns around 4 liters per nautical mile at 20 -24 knots, @ 2200 - 2400 rpm. At 1000 rpm, 8 knots, it burns less than half. Mine has 900 hours and I still get 31 knots top speed with half tanks. Last winter I had half of the cup shaved off the props. The soot problem is almost gone. Good overall performance and seakeeping.

My boat is much heavier 18.5 tons but 2x 63p.

19.5 knots 2500 rpm, average 86 litres per hour 6.04 litres per mile.

say at 2500 rpm you do 26 knots,

6.04 x 19.5/ 26 = 4.53 litres per nautical mile approx.

The 86 litres per hour average would be the same assuming your loading on the engine was the same.

However at 8 knots its a fraction of 4.53 litres per mile buggger all in fact
