I am looking for somewhere for a long term berth for my yacht, and visited, almost accidentally, Yalikavak marina near Bodrum. This is not by the way the main marina in the centre of Bodrum.

It looks like a nice, well organised place, seems pretty new, costs in line with everywhere else. But before final decision I just wanted to ask if anyone has actually used it and can give any feedback.

many thanks!

Hi I have berthed my Benny 393 for a year at Yalikavak marina. It is trying hard to compete with Bodrum offering good services such as a pilot boat to help you berth, good maintance facilities with 100 ton liftout crane and of course electicity, water and fuel.

The marina is trying to become "up market" by encouraging smart shops, expensive restaurant and open air theater. However the town, allthough small and touristy, offers good eating if you search around.

However what I like the best is after a 40 min drive from the airport I have the Turkish coast and lots of Greek islands to cruise and explore /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Many thanks Jim. I also have a 393 by the way. Now basically taken the decision in favor of Yalikavak, boat should be there Nov, so will maybe see you there.
