Has anyone know of or had any dealings with a company trading as "Avivaboats of London".

there seems to be a bit of discordant, non-native English language throughout the site. Use of "vehicle" many times might make one think that the business model is based on a similar one flogging used cars that have been re-possessed.

No UK company registered as Ltd Co with that name on the Companies House website. They may be registered in another country.


I thought that 36 Davies St was the Sunseeker London address.but I must have been misled. Edit: Sunseeker at 34 -36, not 36 - 38 which is Avivaboats' postal address. Apologies.


Webname Avivaboats.com first registered 4 June 2015. The registrant is based in a town called Nobby Beach, Queensland, Oz, and has elected to keep his/her name private.



Pedigree and provenance seem to be very recent.

Thanks for the info.

The name came from an Ad for a boat on "boatsandoutboard", sent for info of the boat of interest and it was from "avivaboats" claiming they sell repo boats. And they are cheap.....

you might like to check and see if they offer an escrow account for client funds, and who holds it. If they have one, that would be quite re-assuring.

And I have just seen that the AvivaBoats logo is the same as that of the respected and well-founded Aviva Insurance company.

After advertising my boat recently on boatsandoutboards, received a fair number of what were even to the untrained eye obviously spam responses,mainly via hotmail and usually in very poor english.
To be fair to b&o.these addresses were quickly blocked.
The site seems to be an easy path for spammers to get the attention of unwary sellers/buyers.
None of the other similar internet sites we used seemed to suffer from this problem.

It will just be an "accommodation" address for mail, etc and for them to appear legit and "in" the UK. If u google the address (I can't be arsed) then you may see a shedload of co's using this location

Had alook around the net and it seems whatever they sell, it has a different address with the same phone number. Then depending where you look Googling for the phone number, it be anywhere even in the Virgin Isles.

So basically, it looks like they are scammers...!!!
