Anyone got any experience with leaded rope?

Very useful for trip lines especial when using a kedge.

Super expensive though for a trip line when leaded 3 strand nylon as per fishing pot line which I bought this year in France but have to yet to use.

Yes I was confusing the two, but the two terms are interchangeable !

Polypropylene - cheap, low melting point, rots quickly in sunlight, floats, rough to handle
Polyester - not cheap, higher melting point, UV stable, sinks, pleasant to handle

As you are not very knowledgeable about ropes why not pop down to your local chandlers in this miserable weather and inspect the different types? I'm sure the assistant will be able to identify them for you if you can't. I wouldn't want you to end up with polypropylene jib sheets on your beloved boat by mistake.

Bottom left of page is a drop down box possibly set at vB4 or similar. Change this to IPC blue. Much better contrast, etc.
