Always worth checking ebay.
However it needs to cheap if you intend sending it off for updating as sometimes cost of old card + cost of update will exceed cost of a new card.Most cards for sale are really ancient.Not that critical if its an estuary perhaps well known to you anyway and you just want it to tell you where you are,but offshore probably not a good idea.
Unless card is virtually free its not usually worth buying card for updating

I had mine updated in the summer for circa £150 so well worth the money as now all bang up to date inc showing my boat position on its home berth - last map was 5 years old and Haslar Marina layout like others has been slightly altered since then.
Map goes all the way to Denmark and includes the inland waterways and the mediterranean if I fancy venturing that far
