My first reaction is that any show at which an organisation called The Billionaire Magazine is exhibiting probably doesn't want me as a visitor but then there are a few mobo builders represented, including a few who weren't at LIBS, and it seems a few boats in the water at St Kats. So anyone planning to go?

Yes, Mike we will visit as a looker not an exhibitor this time round. Not sure what it will be like or if its appeal will be 'correct' for us but it will be interesting to see what it is all about.

just been reading about this from an email I got sent from Hardy offering tickets,
This is a new event, held on the water at St Katharine Docks and inside at Old Billingsgate, situated within 400m of each other. We will be exhibiting the Hardy 40DS at St Katharine Docks, where there will also be several other quality yachts in the water - both power and sail. *As well as showing you around the 40DS, we would also welcome the opportunity to update you on the rest of our range, including the newly launched 32DS and some interesting developments on the Hardy 62.
I wonder what news they have on the 62, Windboats were really keen to do a total interior change after Hull 1 which was built prior to them taking over had been so thoroughly criticised

Crikey after the trouble they had selling hull no 1, you'd think they would quietly let this model drop! But I'm pleased if they don't because in there somewhere is a great boat trying to get out, providing it is priced correctly of course. For me, the obvious change would be to move the galley upstairs and then improve the fit + finish inside considerably because that was way off for a £1.0m+ boat. If they could do that and knock it out for say £1.0m ex VAT, they could sell a few

£1m for a 62... nice idea. Anyone know what you would be charged for a Hardy 50 nowadays?

I did get a price for a new Hardy 32DS a few months ago, to my spec (which was not OTT, just adding the bits that should have been standard IMO), came to an eye watering £320k (full list)

The Hardy 62 was originally advertised in MBY in a full page ad for £995,000 + VAT. Only after Windboats came on the scene did the price climb into the stratosphere. In any case I am informed by my serial new boat buying friend that 20% discount off list price is the norm for boats these days and more if you haggle hard!
