Can't remember the name of it, but is it the loch a few miles S of Arisaig? (I'll try to up look the name.)...

The island looks quite like Sheildaig Is in Loch Torridon, but no, it's too calm and sunny for there.

Okay Donald, so I'm impressed! Its actually Barmore Island (at least thats what I call it) but I'm pretty sure that's what you meant, as seen here:

Particularly difficult because the panorama image has distorted the reality somewhat.

Actually the camera is looking north east up Loch Fyne so the picture is arguably from the south. Image distortion tricks the eyes.

There must be plenty of image distortion. Barmore Island is joined to the west shore of Loch Fyne.

The extra wide perspective from the lens sweeps around from the north pf the island round to the north view up Loch Fyne.

Yes, the west side of the Loch is seen on the left of the picture.

In fact we are both right! On the extreme right of the image the west side of the loch is seen over the isthmus of Barmore island, probably around about the entrance to Tarbert.
