Sounds like my mrs's, "a bit more expensive" FFS it's nearly three times as much:eek::D

we're comparing apples with apples (price) 220k is getting near Flemming 55 money, I'd love to own a Flemming the cheapest I've managed to find is this one,

OK I know it's not 220k but, I thought with a bit of Henryf's negotiating skills he could get it nearer the budget;);)

Eh! I'm only dreaming, but if you can't smile at it, there's not a lot of point owning any type of boat, they are all money pits every one of them,no matter what marque.

Hi James, what have I missed? A Mitchell?

The Swordfish looks a purposeful boat, and depending on the level of importance fishing and diving are, GBP80K is not a lot of money. Fisherman in Oz would spend that much easily on a new fully optioned trailable runabout around seven metres.

2k a week seems a lot, apart from finding the 396k to buy the thing, I would hazard a punt of 5-10k a year with a large dose of self help in the upkeep, excluding mooring fees and fuel but there's too many variables to nail it to a fixed figure, what we need is Piers (Play d'eau's owner). to give us a clue, he's owned his for a fair amount of time including some high cost refitting. http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?348961-Play-d-eau-s-face-lift&highlight=flemming

Sorry, I promise to do better in the future :)

Sounds like a similar machine as a poster up in Banff Harbour in North East Scotland. He was running it as a charter boat, fishing and dolphin watching in the Moray Firth.

Assuming the fine Hardy is/will be on the market, no doubt a fine vessel for a new owner.

Thanks Callum, indeed my much loved Hardy is up for sale, I will sorely miss it. But growing daughter meant a boat with a separate cabin for her to have her own privacy was vital. The more time I spend on my mitchell the more I love it. Really looking forward to the new season, she is at Port Solent currently, will be bringing back to mercury on 22nd march so long at weather ok and can't wait to get her back "home"

I reckon there is a tiny hope the weather may also provide a "challenge" to put the Mitchell through her paces as well?! ;) could imagine worse places to be than ploughing through a lumpy head sea in an awesome semi-D....waves, what waves? :)
