Anyone Cruised the Irish Inland Waterways??

Hi all,
we have a Southerly 100 lifting keel yacht and are strongly considering Southern Ireland for this summers extended cruise
Anyone done it?
Any recommendations?
Is it even possible? (we have a tabernacle and can drop/raise our mast ourselves)
Any info/suggestions gratefully received

I brought a 1.2m draft sailing boat through the canals and waterways 10 years ago. Lots of flooding then, but there will be none in summer obviously. I wanted to exit at Dublin but a bridge blocked me just a few yards from the Liffey. I believe that has now been made to open. So you should be able to go from east to west coast.
