I was re-rigging the halyards and the mousing line for the spinny halyard has tripped over the sheeve at the top of the mast /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif . I need to run the spinny halyard up and the only way I can do it is if I, or someone else /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif , goes up the mast to ease the halyard through the sheeve. The cat will be aground at Stone Point so it's an ideal time to do it, anyone able to help?

Use a climbing harness. Then the photographer can hang upside down to avoid getting their tootsies in the shot.

This photographer can easily manage to invert a Bosuns Chair. No special equipment needed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks and thanks to Ali for the harness if FC wants it. We've got the main halyard to lift and the topping lift as safety. A pair of Gibb winches on the mast to do the work and a fridge full of beer /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll hold the beers /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yep, great photo opportunities... but remember to clear rubbish and random dogs off the deck first!

mmmmmmm ................ Stone Point ? ........ I say we hijack one of the tents, put a "The Pirate's Cave" banner (or any other made-up pirate named pub) over it and pretend. That'd do nicely.

If it weren't for the distance/accessability/lack of transport, I could borrow the scout marquee and tables... sixty people would justify it!

As you can see from photo Mrs Chellers posted, we also have a set of webbing mast-track ladders you could borrow if the track is the same size.

Cheers,

James
