Time to get out of the Solent again.

Thought we'd head off down towards Weymouth - divert to Poole if its too bumpy.

Anyone up for it? Oh ... bring your own harness and lifejacket.

Maybe a warm fire and a good book is a better option.

Weymouth - childsplay! A little trip to Cherbourg would let you experience winds of 45 kts being forecast for mid channel on Sunday.

We had been planning to go out, but those isobars look a bit close on Sunday so I suspect either a day trip or sitting at home with a good book.

We\'ll go fly a kite instead.....

...probably in shreds from the forestay.

A couple of nice juicy crumpets by a warm dry fire does sound much more attractive.

probably wise

after going out in a blow i didn't want to really be in
after a while those specs go all rose tinted and you forget you were worried about damaging kit or being laid flat or hurting yourself and start feeling all macho about how you wee out and others weren't

can i recomend the road to Mcarthy as a good book. and throw a few logs on the fire

Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy.

Just drove along the A27 past Portsmouth Harbour. Down to 30 due to unbelievable rain and poor vis, plus trying to hold the car on the road in the wind. When the rain subsided saw a yacht in harbour with what looked like full main up! Sunsail YM instruction?

Get back to your drilling and belay all thoughts of crumpet
it'll throw yer aim off. ;-)

Seeks woman with boat, send photo of boat.

You wouldn't be thinking of having a sail round here at the moment, unless you like force nine winds and 40foot seas!
