Has anyone any experience of boating in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, or thereabouts e.g Boston ?

SWMBO is going to Harvard University for a year to do her MBA and has offered to take me with her, so I guess I will have a lot of time on my hands, with Happy infant being cared for by a nanny /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I would be interested to know if anyone knows the area, and if it is safe for boating.

Thanks

Yes there is loads of boating there. I have done porridge at Harvard, know it well. Cambridge is beautiful town. There are all sorts of twists and branch lines to the river, lots of marinas, many US type dayboaters in Bostonwhaler type boats, plus university bods rowing all over the place. You will have lots of choice, and lots of petrol available :)

All that is pretty much true of the entire US east coast from Florida to Maine. There are loads of great boating facilities, and some serious boaters. Take a look at this website I just stumbled across, go to the pic gallery, these guys have a 2003 Azimut 55 and see where they've been in it already! http://www.azimut55.com
