I should be there Friday during the day if a further celebratory beer is called for /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seems Sea Moon was launched sometime this week or last at Bradwell, as I have received the launching & mast stepping invoice. Hopefully back on A8.

Roger

Must have just missed you sailed to Bradwell tuesday and left this morning on the tide. Excellent sail both days in brilliant if cold sun shine.
Did have a quick look around Sabre early this morning full marks on the antifoul job, not quite as sure about those new beaching legs you have had fitted /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Good that your afloat will have to have a second shot for a sail aboard sabre with you soon.

I pleased to report that the 6x4 planks have been removed. A free addition by the marina whilst we were away to prevent the domino effect of a fin keeler falling off the cradle!

Yes indeed we must try again once I know the engine will start /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Sorry Alan - won't be there Friday. Peter thought that you'd got the stop lever caught in your trousers which is why your engine cut out! More likely it was up the leg of your shorts /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif What were you thinking it was /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Roger

Thanks, should be the cables for the radar dome newly fitted, plus the usual other (LED anchor light inluded!)

I'm down on Saturday just in case you are around.

Radar oooooh. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif there's posh.

Won't be there this weekend as we have rellies staying and it is going to be raining and blowing a houlie. And I'm family visiting next weekend so a mid-weeker only. BBQ 3rd May of course /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I launched today, now floating off Shuttlewood's boatyard at Pagesham.

Still need to connect the wiring to the mast lights and VHF ariel and a few other things.

hurrah, confirmed back in weekend after next wand hopefully move to bradwell on the bank holiday sunday. Got to sort boot top, smallish gelcoat repair, wiring for wind instruments, fitting new solar panel and regulator, sanding/varnish outboard bracket and other bits and pieces. Well should get the outside bits done.

We've been afloat all winter and have had a few really good sails, including a couple of weeks ago a jaunt from Eastbourne to Brighton (see info and lots of pics here

Moving house has interfered with sailing but we're going to the boat for a couple of days midweek to prepare for bringing her round to Brightlingsea next weekend (assuming the weather is helpful). After that, being 15 minutes away from the boat and both working freelance, we're going to be spending a lot of time mucking about on East Coast waters!

Rubberduck now in her new home at Burnham, only issues left are a dodgy rev counter & knackered shore power lead, other than that had 33 knots out of her today while checking her out, so pretty pleased thanks to EBY (although it did take a while /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif). All I need to do now is get myself up to speed after my recent stay at the hotel Royal London Hospital, & some decent weather of course. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i trailered Glissando down to wells harbour on saturday morning, slipped her in and moored up at one of the new pontoons, took her out for a quick spin,i stayed on the harbour side of the bar and messed aorund with the jib up,had a blast with the 50hp them motored back and moored up again, very cold weekend other than that had a great time, boat can be seen on the web cam,she is directly behind the large orange vessel

looks like the harbourmaster has moved her for me,she is now on her mooring, after i moores her up they told me to leave her there and that they would position her on her mooring, now i have to find my boat /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Went for the last South-Coast sail yesterday. Left Sovereign Harbour, went round the Royal Sovereign Lighthouse, back towards Eastbourne, then up to Beachy Head, turned round and had a nice run back to Sov Harbour.

We had Chellers up to 9 knots which is very good again with all the weed on the hull. It was a lovely sail and we had two dinghy sailors with us who helmed pretty much the whole time and knew what they were doing so I got to sit up front (until a large wave soaked me) and then sit in comfort in a nice spot at the back of the boat and just watch the world go by. James got to fiddle about with odd boat bits and generally relax. Lovely!

I'm home now but James is staying on the boat until Saturday morning when they (he and his crew) leave Sovereign Harbour to head up to Brightlingsea. Weather lookin' good so far too! East Coast here we come!

Best of luck to James... looks like a perfect weekend for a run across the Estuary.... and welcome to the warm and friendly East Coast... we turned up here just a few years ago, and were made incredibly welcome.... I hope that we'll be able to return that gift.....
