I will update with my experiences. Seems like a lot of trouble to go to to pee off existing as well as prospective berth holders if there are no vacancies. Otherwise it will be Woolverstone buoy and ashore scheme for us.


I see what you mean Re listing. I have emailed, i will be sorely hacked off if we have lost that
 
Foxs confirmed they are in the TransEurope scheme so as it's the same price as Woolverstone mooring buoy package I think we will be moving to Foxs. C8 provisionally reserved.

I spoke to him about this yesterday and, at that stage, it wasn't back in the table but I did say I was less than impressed to discover this via a third party on the ECF rather than from Foxs themselves. Also that it was very shortsighted to not renew their membership.
Maybe the thought of losing the potential £s from a new berthholder was enough to 'encourage' them to continue with it.

If they looked after the long standing berth holders, there would be no vacancies in the first place.

Same as most business 'models' these days - car insurance, phone contracts, TV all give better deals to newbies than loyal existing customers....

We don't (at my business) so long standing clients pay much less than new ones (over 25% discount) - after all, they've been with us for years so you need to reward them. Shame the rest of the world doesn't do the same.
 
What are the issues? It always seemed to be a happy place where most people knew each other?
The only issue is Simon is that a benefit was / has / possibly withdrawn, due to short sighted management without telling berth holders @ the time of the increased renewals notices going out.
The marina is a very friendly place ( read recent posts on it) the only issue is comms, & treat the regulars with respect not take the Michael by raising fees,cutting the service & then offer new berth holders a large discount.
