Anybody want a project super-yacht?

I suspect the hull is without value - .basically too big to move anywhere other than on its own bottom, and now without any facility to complete.

Shame about that redbrick building that they've demolished though, that was lovely.

They seem to be a bit ambitious then, 18 million was a figure bandied around but maybe a punt at 10% of that might not seem so cheeky then. I wonder how much it would be to put it on a barge to a viable ship yard for completion.

I once went to the Cannes boat show and there was an almost new superyacht (at least 120 ft) with a sign that said “owned by the bank, and any offer accepted and that it will be sold by the end of the show”
Now I thought about offering €10 but what if I’d won? I would be legally responsible and I couldn’t afford the fuel or crew to take it the 100 miles home and I could never ever afford the parking, assuming I could find a place.
Buying a cheap superyacht is the least of your problems, or should I say the start of your problems

That's taken for granted on my part unless I win the Lotto several weeks on the trot. But there are more potential uses than for the private leisure boater here. RV, Charter, Tourism etc type business uses also have a viable interest.

Could it be launched somehow and towed to somewhere, I guess you would need to crane the deck on first somehow with a few big mobile cranes?

Maybe if you can afford to finish it and run it then you can just afford a new one and dont need to mess about with a project one...

There was a series, in one of the motorboat magazines some years back, about a guy who made his own superyacht. He bought the shell from the Royal Navy, ex minesweeper I think, strapped a row of outboard motors on the back, some drums of petrol and took it home on its own bottom. Every other part he begged and borrowed but did end up with a fully functional superyacht

The article describes is as "half finished". I think that is optimistic. I imagine this would be more of a liability than anything else.
