Well, the backstays are set up - the small black blob just below the main clew - so its not that.

I suppose there is a point of discussion on the length of the tender's painter?

No, all looks good to me. Runners set up ok for stbd tack. On a Bermudan rig I'd be tempted to run a preventer, but not on a gaffer in these conditions.

Arghhhhhh Bisto !!

I was always taught ...... flubbers hard up nose on transom to stop turning turtle in any wind, hard tenders on long painters - shorten in as you go into 'port'.

But I must admit that I do as in picture quite often !!!!!

It was only a bit of fun anyway !!!!
