Anybody getting a new boat for Christmas?

''I have spent a career in locked horns competition with French entities, and I would call it an honourable draw.
At least I didn't but a Westerly.

But I am thinking Sevylor......''

Perhaps you can calls yours, the fully engineered, FC '' Export model" then.

At least you only need one range of spanners with the Europeans

The French Entities (well, the major ones anyway)

Aerospatiale
Turbomeca
Airbus
Renault
PSA
Plastic Omnium
Sommer Allibert

They were worthy opponents indeed. Lucky I can take a joke.

We have been casting around for a robust 2 person kayak of 400lbs capacity, and I am not sure what thread standard they have. Sevylor look good, cant wait to see Morganas new one.

Only the NMEA Gremilns wait for me at the yard, however, a nice "nearly 20 year old but looks like it's brand new because it's avon and decent" tender is now under my proud ownership.

New Boat

If a Wayfarer counts then yes.

Finally decided that we still need all the help we could get and regretably parted with our wooden one for the new Mk 4 Hartley Boat.

My only consistent rule in racing was to buy the best boat so the only reason we were at the back of the fleet was that we were no good and not the boat - and who says Golf is frustrating!!

Exactly the opposite. We are getting ready to sell our Sealine 310
We have been boating 5 yrs and its time to try something else.
The last 3 years we have only had one week away in summer when it hasn't
rained/been cold.
Also with work we donot use it enough to warrent what we pay monthly for the boat.
