Hi all. Our group of owners are looking to relocate from Burriana where we have been based since before covid!
The general idea is somewhere in a more interesting and lively town and with more interesting sailing opportunities.
Torrevieja was mentioned but it sounds like a noisy hell hole to some members. Vallencia was mentioned and I understand that there are 4 marinas there
with a variety of moorings and sound levels!
Denia appeals to me though I have no first hand knowledge to date.
Any views will be very welcome.

We had a villa nearby for 10 years or so, I know Denia very well as a town, not kept a boat there though. It’s a big modern marina with lots going on locally, the town is busy all year round and you have easy access to the Balearics. The two issues that I’m aware of from a boating perspective are that 1. There’s not many lovely spots to go nearby, and 2. It tends to get windy in the afternoons.

Definitely worth a visit to check it out.

We crossed from Ibiza last summer and spent a few days in denia

The marina we stayed was nice. Full of restaurants and a club if you like 5at. Also good facilities with numerous boat dealers and laundry

A Lidl within a few minutes walk of marina is always a bonus when cruising!

The old town is interesting and some nice well priced restaurants

I enjoyed our time thee albeit only for a few days

And compared to Ibiza/Mallorca both berthing and eating out great value

Going south from Xenia there’s a few nice bays within a 10 mile cruise
