Any Update or Progress regards Teddington Lock. ?

Work on the launch lock has restarted- divers being in the water prepping for it is why the Barge lock has been closed the last couple of weeks.
Signs on site say that project is scheduled until Sept 26.

I believe the November Barge lock closure is for a system to allow the gate sluices which have been manually operated until now to be remote operated again. I'm told all being well once that's done they anticipate the Barge lock going back to 24/7 operation.

I was at Teddington today, looks like work on the launch lock is well underway - gate's at both ends removed, top end has stop planks, tail at the moment is completely open.

Barge lock appears to be working without the drill although the lockie said it was understandably quiet at the moment.

It WAS a battery powered drill ! Rumour has it they will use the barge lock ( fixed for now) until launch is done in ‘spring’ and then they will
Likely decommission the barge lock.

Signs on site say Sept 26 for the launch lock, and have since this attempt restarted, seems unlikely it'd be done months early given how long its already taken.
