Any thoughts on Digital Yacht AIT5000 AIS?

It's made by SRT, the parent company of Em-trak, same as the Emtrak B924. I could supply the Em-trak one for much less than the Digital Yacht.

I'm thinking of going down the B593 route and adding in a DigitalYacht NavLink2. The combo seems to be about £40 cheaper if you shop around, plus you can get other NMEA2k data over WiFi, such as speed/depth etc, which I don't think the WiFi on the B594 will do, as I believe it will only send it's own GPS and AIS data, not anything else on the network.

I had a Digital Yacht CLB2000 in Greece. Worked perfectly doing just what it said on the box. Sent a useful record to Marine Traffic, allowing interested parties to follow our progress. Perfectly reliable for a number of years.

That's incorrect, the current B900 series multiplexes NMEA0183 and NMEA 2000, early models may need a firmware update.

I have a Digital Yacht AIS combined antenna/receiver of some antiquity (with ye olde NMEA (0183?) output). It has always worked very satisfactorily. I've no complaints or quibbles whatsoever.

The update was released early 2024.

By default any data received on port 1 will be output on port 2 and over Wi-Fi / Bluetooth.
Also by default any data received on port 2 will be output on port 1. To multiplex that data received on port 2 over Wi-Fi / Bluetooth as well, please send the following command:
