any recommendations on a Marine Carpenter Lymington or nearby

Changes in the way that surveyors are interpreting MGM 280, the standards for coded charter boats like my Prestige 38s 'Zen Dog', mean that she apparently now needs a separate, dedicated locker for her 12 man valise life raft. The Prestige 38s has a large hatch under the rear cockpit seating leading into the tender garage and, until now, the liferaft has just sat quite happily on the floor of the garage. When new, Prestige supplied a shelf to lift the raft off the floor but the shelf was removed and lost by a previous owner. I've attached a photo of another 38s showing the raft on its shelf. However, the surveyor says that even this shelf solution isn't now acceptable and wants a marine ply screen around it to satisfy the "dedicated" condition. So, I need to to find a carpenter sharpish! I don't have the tools or skills to do this myself - - it is a long way from the small bookshelf I made in school woodwork aged 12! (I also lack the imagination - how can I lift the engine cover with a dirty great cupboard built above) Can anyone make any recommendations, please?

My concern would be .
Is the hatch a manual lift or electric , by the looks of it electric , so can it be lifted in the event that god forbid your boat floods quickly rendering the bilge pumps useless because the water ingress has taken out its power supply .
If that’s the case then my view is that inside your tender garage is not the right place to store your life raft at any time it might be needed .

I am very surprised that the surveyor has even suggested you store in inside .
Most charter boats I work on have the life raft sited in an area of the boat where crew can launch it easily and quickly , alongside a point at which the painter can be attached that’s easily identified , nothing worse than an inflated life raft that the persons on board have to swim to.
I’d also state that if your are sinking your boat could be going down stern first , there is therefore the possibility that bathing platform could be under water as it’s the lowest part of the boat , by opening the hatch you will flood the boat even quicker .
Of course I stand to be corrected

not familiar with this boat, but looks like there's a hatch and I presume you can access the life raft from up there without lifting the tender garage, no?
Now, whether you CAN lift a 12man liferaft from a hole like that, it's to be seen

+1 re the comments by Vas and VolvoPaul.
I would have thought that a more logical place for the liferaft would be in a cradle on the foredeck.
Although after having a look at the photos in the link below re a Prestige 38 for sale, it would not be very appealing visually, and the occupants of the forward sun pad might not be too keen on sharing it will a liferaft case.

I can see a wee hatch in the deck, forward of the passarelle - is this an alternative access to the engine room?
I do hope that access via the tender garage is not the only access.
