Any recommendations for a reliable outboard mechanic near Burnham?

I think our trusty old Yamaha 9.9 deserves a bit of tlc.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, mechanic, vaguely in the Burnham area, please?

Why not bring the boat round to her birth place in Brightlingsea, and book the outboard in for a service with Dennis Beeston (DB Marine Engineers), Morgan Marine or Marine Motors?

Cobra, we'll definitely be bringing 'Aileen' along to Brightlingsea soon, but I'm going to give Simon Dunn a ring about the engine, as he's very local and has had a few recommendations.

'John the Bridge' from the Roach Sailing Assoc services outboards, but he's Southend area which may be a bit out of your way. As an indication he serviced a 2.5 2st for 16% of the price Seamark Nunn were quoting.
