Any recent customer experience of Westaways

I went up to Westaways at the boat show because they are the only people I know who do second hand sails. By chance they did have a s/h (7 on a scale of 1-10) cruising chute and as second hand snuffer although not as cheap as I expected as Crusader quoted only 20% more for a new one inc. snuffer and VAT in any colour I wanted.

Westaways were getting some bad press on these forums but I don't see how they could mess up a used chute.

Recently came across C&J in relation to used sails. https://www.cjmarine.co.uk/usedsailagency.
They have a reasonable reputation for canvas work.

If you can see the sail,inspect it and satisfy yourself it is what you want, then pay for it and take it away with you, there should be no problem. From what we have seen on these fora anything other than that may well end in tears.

There was a post on the Sadler Owners Facebook group a few weeks ago from somebody who had bought a second hand sail from them. It didn't arrive when it should, at least 2 promised delivery dates were missed, and it needed many phone calls / e-mails to chase before it arrived. However, it was eventually delivered, and the purchaser was very pleased with the condition / fit of the sail.

That's what I would do but I've now found it on their list of second hand sails and it's described as fair condition; I think they would have to knock the price down significantly because Crusader's boat show quote to make me a new one is only 22% more (both sail+snuffer+vat)
