I don't think it can be a pressurised cap, otherwise how does air get back in when the expansion of the coolant has pushed out the excess I had filled it with? No sign of excessive coolant use, the engine oil is so clear it's hard to tell the level on the dipstick, so no emulsification. Foxs did two warm oil changes, a flush and then another oil change to thoroughly clean the engine, hence the clear oil. It's only been run for about 20 hours since mind you. There's no smoke after the engine is warm. There's an oily film in the coolant but nothing to explain that. The heat exchanger was chemically cleaned and twice flushed but that doesn't clean all the pipe work from and to the engine. The engine takes about 15 minutes to get to working temperature and stays there at 74 degrees rock solid, the dial barely twitched from 74 on one 5 hour motor so I'm sure I have just been overfilling it. Just wish there wasn't the nag of that oily water.
