having been diagnosed some twelve years ago.probably some 8 years later than the onset.
travelling is the biggest problem . irregullar meals. too much sugar, in all its forms.
the hiabc is the only long term regulater. 6 is heaven 7 ok 8 try harder.
sailing is not a problem unless you cannot sense a hypo coming on .
tablets are fine, until you get bladder or other infections then the system goes wild.
using a mixture of insulin and tablets and still working a 10 hour x 6 days regime in the tropics at 71. dont give in!!!
