Any opinions on this Inverter?

I am but on my 3rd wife. Must get a kettle with a plastic handle. ?. We fitted an rcd and the sunshine inverter has a rcd switch on it. Seems to trip when the test button pressed and wired as suggested.

RCD test buttons only test the RCD itself, not the installation, that's why i carry a test meter that cost several hundreds of pounds, killing customers off with dodgy inverter installations wouldn't be good for business, especially if they hadn't paid he bill

That is true to some effect however if the rcd is on the socket and trips instantly at the outlet point it’s a pretty good way of ensuring the installation is working by the way the test button sets up an imbalance fault. Agree a new circuit should be initially tested with an RCD tester upon energising for the 1st time.

I have two small 300w inverters but tend to only plug them in when needed as most of my kit runs off 12v or 18v and the fridge, cooker, kettle are all LPG.

I would be very nervy about having such a thing like that strapped across my 140ah battery all the time but I suppose if it is correctly installed and checked for safety ???
