I have twin mercruiser alpha drives which both turn the same way. To make manouvering easier, I should like to make one of the drives them counter rotating, is it just a question of making forward gear on one the reverse etc. and changing the prop.

No real expert, but I read somewhere that the trick can work with Bravo drives, but not with Alpha.
Maybe a look at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.sterndrives.com> this site </A> can help.

Never mind that Mike, you'll have to get used to it if yoiu ever get a H28!! Have you seen the one on e-bay? same one as on FOC forum I think.

Under no circumstances can you run an Alpha in reverse for contra rotating props. You need to buy a left handed drive I'm afraid.
