Hi All,

I got some air into the Eberspacher fuel line when I recently removed the fuel tank for cleaning. Now the Eberspacher no longer works (even though all air is now purged).
The system I have is a D4 fitted with a 7 day timer (which is now probably locked out!!).

Can anyone recommend a good Eberspacher expert (boat moored at Bradwell).

Many thanks

Ian

Is the filter in the pump clean? Mine has pegged out before once because the filter was blocked. Didn't take much grot to cause it. Air should not been a problem as it should self purge - having said that I read somewhere about joints in the fuel line can cause air blocks if not butted together properly.

Hi All,

Sadly David does not do Eberspacher.
I haven't yet checked the fuel pump filter.
However, when I switch the heater on.... apart from the display on the 7 day timer changing, nothing happens what so ever. There is no start up low speed fan from the eberspacher unit. I suspect it is locked out.
I'm under the impression it can be unlocked via the 7 day timer.

Many thanks

Ian

When mine caused me problems it was supposed to have been the battery. Now I don't understand this as it is 12v but what I was told is that the Eber needs 13.8v to start unless of course I misunderstood the expert from Diesco who has sadly died recently :-(

Yes Bobs passing was very sad & with a youn family too.
the Ebersplutter draws high amps on start up ( 15 > 20 amps) this will pull a battery bank that isnt in top condition down quickly. Often best to start the engine first when one has a small battery on the domestics
