Any information on an Absolute 41

Hello, I am resurrecting this old discussion as I have been offered (in my research for a new open boat) a very well maintained Absolute 41, year 2006, with D6 350hp, 350hours.
The owner changed in 2019 the 2 DPH legs (he told he damaged one leg with a rope...but who knows the truth...).

Is the Absolute 41 a boat that, due to its weight and hull, potentially stresses the delicate DPH legs?

Any other opinion on this boat is more than welcome.
My wife loves it. I am a little worried about those legs.

I had a Sealine S42 with D6 350's and DPH drives. Apart from the normal sterndrive wear and tear (rams, bellows, seals etc) they were fine. I had the boat for 10 years so they had a lot of use. I wouldn't worry, just get a good surveyor/engineer to check them out first.

The DPH drives are actually an improvement over the previous DPG for the bigger boats and with all there shortfalls where designed for these 13 meters sport cruisers, and to handle the higher HP of the D6 series engines.
So once you service them they are ok.

The DPG some early Ab 41 and 45 had these coupled to Kad300, and where prone to destruct with the heavier larger boats.
As the Abs the Gobbi 425, and or the Mira 40 models, this last among the most popular of destroying these drives.

I have a targa 44 with d6 330's and DHP legs and i am not worried,
that much so i wanted legs over IPS, it drives like a sports boat with legs.
keep them well serviced and they will be fine !

I am visiting an Absolute 41 next week.
The broker already told me that, within some minor works to be done, the engines needs to be repainted as there are traces of rust.
He told that was due to some humidity coming from the garage ...
Is that possible?

All boat with tender garages, and telescopic passarelles which go inside of the engine room, are prone to water ingress and rust. Bar none.
