Any information on a Romany 12?

I've just bought an old but rather pretty fibreglass 12ft dinghy called a "Romany 12".







I've been told that it was made in the Romany Works in between Poole and Wareham maybe in the 1960s.

Does anyone recognise the model, or have any more information about it?

You are right about the Romany Works. It is still there and was part of the war time Holton Heath ordnance factory.

The Romany boat building business was run by a lady and produced all sorts of small dinghies and fishing boats. Went out of business (I think) in the early 1980's.
