Any ideas on \"book\" speed for Superhawk
So running around at the weekend I was seeing speeds in the late 30-knot mark.
The boat is new to me so I am still fooling around with trim and set up...but want to know what I should realistically expect from a clean bottom, recently serviced model.
Having looked at an old copy of MBM it is talking about Volvo KAD300s (285hp) cracking 45 knots.
I am running Yanmar 6LPA-STZP (Serial Number: 50688 and 50689) on Mercruiser Bravo III drives. I THINK these are 315hp....but they may only be rated at 300hp (not sure how to tell).
I don't know what ratio the drives are.
I have stainless 26 pitch 15" duoprops on.
Vital statistics are:
11.33m LOA
8.65m LWL
3.1m Beam
0.65m draft (1.15m inc props)
Weight...MBM say 7.9tonnes; 6.05tonnes in MBY and Sunseeker say 5.8tonnes at "half load". Comedy.
Any ideas what top end I should expect??????
