How close to arrival airport do you want to be ? Flying easyJet maybe ? Do you want to sail round costa esmerelda national park etc during your stay ?

we fly to the north I believe and yes easy jet , I don’t know the park but anything on water and we are for it.

If the hotel in post 2 doesn’t appeal look at Cervo hotel - a lot like life turns on budget though and expectations as to activities etc. The marina at port cervo isn’t that far I recall from the airport. You could just charter a yacht for your stay?

Hotel El Faro, near Alghero, at Capo Caccia - used to be called Hotel Capo Caccia ... the first time I stayed there I had lunch on the next table to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Revisited several times - thoroughly recommended.
