Any hints for fitting transducers

I have now removed the old speed and depth transducers though the old sealant put up a good fight and I think I'm ready to fit the new ones.
Please can I sample the knowledge of the forum for any good tips for fitting the new ones?

Should the transducers be a tight or loose fit in the holes?

Is Sikaflex 291 the correct sealant?

[/ QUOTE ]Depends how concerned you are about removing them. Silicone sealant works fine - there's almost no water pressure on the fittings.
