Hoping one day to be able to France again, can someone check my translation, please? Am I right that a pontoon's Hammer Head is called, 'Le bout de pontoon'?

Le bout de ponton means the end of the pontoon
Hammerhead? it translates into French but maybe they actually use the word hammerhead

In my marina attendant days, we used 'le tête du ponton / catway' as 'hammerhead' when describing it to French visitors (head of the pontoon, catway I think is a brand name)

Alternatively ask Pierrique HM at Carteret, but there again they Don't have Hammerheads there, Catways are pontoon fingers
