Any first hand experience of Hookah/Hookamax Dive system

How deep does the hookah allow you to go? If snorkelling depth then I doubt you would get that much out of a dive course just to use it if you are confident at snorkelling already. A scrub is only going to be 1-3m and dive course learning really comes into effect after 5m.

Mine will allow me to go to 7 mts but you can get an longer pipe to go down to 12 mts ,
7 mts have alway been enough for me , even if an anchor is deeper say 10 mts , at seven mts in clear water you can work out what's going on and work on a way to release it with out going deeper .

I have a 'Mini B'. It is kept on board and gives me about 45minutes at keel depth.
Self contained and simple to use.
My local scuba school, Andark does specific courses.

I'd love a Hook and may consider making one but it's not as flexible as the Mini B.

Tricky decision. Current sailing area is Greece where I understand can be difficult to get tank filled and certified. Against this is Hookahs all seem to sold in Aus or the US and so costly. Hmmm
