I'm planning to do an exam at FDARS, just wondered if any EC forumites are in to ham radio ITA,cheers Jerry.
Any FDARS people on here? (Ham radio not very boaty)

Did all 3 last year at lefars in loughton. Nice thing to have on the boat, I've an ICOM 7000 set up with winlink for free email anywhere.

Yes,I was thinking of doing my LRC,but it seems expensive and uninteresting especially the satellite bits, so I am going down the ham route to learn. Which has many advantages,social,practical and financial,if you like radios anyway.
It all comes quite naturally to me,my dad had it all beaten in to him in the Signals so I have involuntarily picked up some of the jargon!
