Any experience with GoFunSailing flotilla in Croatia (or elsewhere)?

I'm looking to book a flotilla holiday in Croatia through GoFunSailing.

They seem to be based on the Netherlands, run by someone travelling in Montenegro and I have to pay by bank transfer.

They are offering a good flotilla deal, pretty much bareboat plus 150 Euro for the flotilla. Also, they have the all important last-minute availability, maybe because few airlines go where they are...

I am wary of wiring money without being able to claim from my credit card company if the, worst case, the site is a scam and the guy in Montenegro goes sailing by himself...

Does anyone have any experience with this company? Are they "real"?

Do they provide the support a relative newcomer to sailing (but old-time motor boater) needs on such a flotilla?

Any other information on their flotillas would also be appreciated!

Feedback on GoFunSailing

Since I didn't get a response to my original question, I thought I'd report back.

GoFunSailing turned out to be run by Ton and Maartje who are real people with real bank accounts. And, rather than my money ending up in Nigeria as I feared, i saved money because they found the right boat - even at the last minute - for a lot cheaper than any of the UK-based companies i contacted, could.

It was only about 150 Euros to join the flottila which was good value - for me at least since I did not have much experience back then and wanted the backup if needed.

Compared to others, the flottila was run in a very relaxing way. Each day, we were given a destination for the next day plus some interesting places / anchorages to visit along the way; beyond that, we could do what we want - race, relax, explore, whatever...

In the evenings, we could choose to eat with the group - the leader would make the arrangements - or do our own thing. Most of the other people spoke Dutch however that was not a big issue for us - more of an advantage really - our nanny is Dutch.

When we had some issues with the outboard and the local agent could not fix it very well, Ton and Maartje stepped in and we received an almost-new four-stroke.

Another thing we like was the balance between sleeping at anchor in some idylic bay or river location, going stern-to against the harbour wall right in front of your chosen restaurant and/or picking up a buoy somewhere.

So far, we've done both the Northern and Southern routes from Sukosan with GoFunSailing. Being Croatia, both routes are excellent however the Southern one stood out because of the trip up the river to the Krka nature reserve and waterfalls. The Northern route does include some wreck snorkeling, though...

After two years, we're booking for a 3rd year now. So, to answer my own question from before - yes, I can recommend GoFunSailing's flottilas in Croatia - especially if you like good prices, good support when you need it and a relaxed, family-friendly island-hopping adventure rather than a race from pub to pub.

Hope this helps someone!
