How do you start? I use throttle idle, is this a new problem? Any smoke on start up?
Seems to need throttle to start, cranks for ages before firing. very little smoke, nothing more than you'd expect. Once running it runs sweet. As soon as its stopped it's a complete ball ache to start again.
Could be down on compression, does a squirt of oil improve the start
Not tried that yet. Kinda thought it might be a compression problem but would have hoped after an hour of running it might expand and cure that. Might have to get a compression test on it.
not sure, mate bought it last year, been laid up for a while. Seemed ok last year but only ever really started it to steam it home.
