Hi

Hopefullly this time next year i will be in the market for a small motor boat and looking at the Princess 286 Riviera Diesel. Any tips, advice, fuel consumptions or things to look out for will be much appreciated. Just doing all my research early! Many Thanks

Hi,
Great boats.. Strong and very nice timeless design.. If possible, but very rare, try to find with the factory fitted AD41 200hp engines..
Its a big heavy wide boat.. It needs the big motors...

Thanks!!

RIN off this forum had one until recently for many years I'm sure he will reply and give you some tips. Beware of old AD 41s they may cost you a fortune so get them checked out prior to purchase .

AD41's in my opinion, owning many boats with these units , is that they are brilliant... I did change the turbos on a couple but that really was the first change after 2600 hours use..

In this boat in particular, I stick by my advice.. Choose the AD41's option over the AD31's and the AQAD40's... You won't go wrong.

Thanks!

Of course, seeing as there are no more Princess 286's left in the world.. This thread renders useless to anyone who might be thinking of buying one :o
