Antifouling removal

Can anyone recommend a company to salt blast my hull? It looks like there's 15 year's worth of a/f on there. I'm based on the Medway. The only quote I've been able to get was very expensive IMO (£500+vat) for an 8 metre hull.

I've not used him myself, but this guy is often used in the Essex area.

Worth a try? Is salt blasting a common practice, I can't recall hearing of it?

Thanks. Salt blasting is less aggressive than sand or grit, I understand they use bicarbonate.

Ask Elessar (on Scuttlebutt). His company gave a very good quote for us - actually it was for antifoul removal and then coppercoat, but he was very helpful in his advice.

ARC did a couple of boats at Faversham including mine, pleased with results and cost was not unreasonable.
They are based on the Hamble but have a 'branch' based near Stansted somewhere. They use the Farrow System.
Come to think of it, maybe that's Elessar's company.
