Slime pressure washed off, loose bits and barnacles scraped of, bit of sanding as appropriate. Cruiser Uno tin says this is more than enough preparation, and should now just slap it on.
However, there is a layer of "green stuff" on the waterline, about 10cm above and below, which didnt come off with the pressure wash, and which is kind of dry and hard to the touch.
havent tried anything yet, but should I scrub this off with a mixture of water and Galtec, (liquid soapy stuff that Irish Fishermen use), or is there something more specific which will remove it more easily... e.g. mildew remover?
